Morgan McKinley are partnering with a Global Insurance Firm looking for a Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst to join their growing Sydney team. The company offers flexible and hybrid working 2-3 days in the Sydney CBD. As a Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst within 1LOD, you will play a pivotal role in securing the future for customers by providing expert guidance on resilience, service provider management, and third-party risk within a supportive, inclusive, and high-performing culture. The ideal candidate for this role will have CPS230 and TPRM experience, gained in a 1LOD risk role at another insurance firm. ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Advisory: Provide specialist risk and compliance support regarding CPS230 requirements, focusing on operational resilience and third-party risk management.Framework Management: Advise on the design, implementation, and monitoring of division-specific risk frameworks and controls to ensure alignment with defined risk appetite.Second Line Liaison: Collaborate closely with the Second Line of Defence to maintain up-to-date risk views, quarterly declarations, and control assessment activities.Risk Mitigation: Deliver consultative guidance on emerging operational risks and develop robust processes to manage these in line with the Board-approved Risk Management Framework.Reporting & Insights: Monitor key risk indicators and manage the reporting of breaches and incidents, providing deep-dive analysis into root causes and preventative actions. RequirementsCPS230 and TPRM experience gained in a 1LOD risk role, within Financial Services.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the business.Strong critical thinking skills to interpret complex data, identify emerging trends, and provide pragmatic, commercially-minded solutions.Demonstrated success in assessing risk levels and executing comprehensive mitigation plans in ambiguous environments.A proactive approach to learning and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies within a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
