About The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, talented and capable accounting expert to join us as the Senior Coordinator Financial Planning on a permanent, full-time basis. As Senior Coordinator Financial Planning, You Will take a strategic approach to the financial sustainability and operational financial management of the organisationdevelop smart, sustainable budgets and drive cost-effective solutionswork alongside senior leaders to shape economic and infrastructure growthleverage technology to modernise financial systems and reportingensure compliance while finding innovative funding solutionsassist to build and mentor a high-performing finance team. Essential Qualifications and experience Degree qualifications in accounting or a business-related disciplineQualification as a Certified Practising Accountant or Chartered AccountantIn-depth experience with financial accounting systemsAttention to detail and ownership of the financial aspects of the long-term financial plan, annual budgets and quarterly reviewsProven experience in leading and mentoring a professional team to meet their objectives in a financial environment and the ability to motivate key stakeholders into achieving corporate financial objectivesHighly developed ability to negotiate and influence at senior levels of Council to ensure financial objectives are metCurrent class C driver's licence. Desirable Local Government experience in a Finance teamThorough working knowledge of relevant provisions of the Local Government Act and other appropriate legislation. Remuneration And Benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
