The Opportunity

Warrell & Reid is proud to partner with an established Australian-owned mobility and vehicle rental business with more than 30 years of experience supporting corporate, government and travel industry customers across Australia.
Following a recent appointment to a State Government Supply Panel covering five states, the business is now focused on converting that opportunity into long-term commercial growth. We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to activate this opportunity and build strategic relationships across government agencies, enterprise customers and travel management companies (TMCs).
This is a high-impact role focused on translating a major panel appointment into active revenue while growing long-term partnerships across both government and corporate sectors.

The Role

This is a strategic account management role focused on developing relationships across government agencies operating under the newly secured supply panel. Also, you will have capabilities to identify manage and grow key Enterprise Opportunities as required.
You will work closely with senior government stakeholders as well as procurement leaders, travel coordinators and operational stakeholders to drive adoption of the service offering across multiple departments. At the same time, you will partner with major travel management companies and distribution channels to create programmes designed to influence travel booking behaviour by the major TMC's and OTA partners. 
Success in this role will come from your ability to influence stakeholders across the travel ecosystem including government agencies, enterprise clients and booking channels while growing the commercial value of strategic accounts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Government & Enterprise Engagement
    Build and develop relationships across government agencies and enterprise customers operating under the supply panel.
  • Utilisation & Growth
    Drive adoption of services and increase utilisation across both government and corporate clients.
  • Channel Partnerships
    Partner with travel management companies and booking channels to increase booking volume and visibility.
  • Strategic Account Planning
    Develop and manage account plans to grow revenue across the government and enterprise portfolio.
  • Commercial Negotiation
    Lead discussions on pricing structures, service levels and contract terms.
  • End-to-End Account Management
    Manage accounts through the full lifecycle including reporting, QBRs and ongoing relationship management.
  • Portfolio Expansion
    Identify opportunities to grow wallet share and expand the national customer portfolio.
 

About You

You are a commercially minded relationship builder who thrives in complex stakeholder environments. You understand how large organisations procure services and how to influence decision-makers across multiple levels.

You may currently be working in:

  • Travel Management Companies (TMCs)
  • Corporate travel or tourism partnerships
  • Fleet or mobility services
  • Logistics or transport services
  • Hospitality or accommodation partnerships
  • Strategic government or enterprise account management
You will be experienced and comfortable with engaging with senior stakeholders, confident negotiating commercial agreements and motivated by growing strategic accounts over time.
