Derrimut Depot (Melbourne) is one of the busiest depots in the Lindsay Transport network — and we’re looking for a highly experienced Administration Manager to step in and lead from the front.
With a 200-strong workforce and 24/7 operations, reporting to the 2IC Depot Manager, you’ll oversee transport administration and lead a team of 6 working across the 7 days of operations. Driving accuracy and continuous performance improvement while keeping everything running smoothly in a fast-paced environment is core to success in this role.
As part of Lindsay Transport, Australia’s largest fresh produce transporter, you’ll play a key role in moving critical, temperature-controlled freight where timing and accuracy matter most.
This is a full-time role with real pace, responsibility, and the chance to make your mark in the nation’s biggest temperature-controlled transport business.
What You’ll Do:
Supervise and coordinate the administration team
Ensure adequate resourcing to meet operational demands
Oversee manifesting and pricing to ensure accuracy and correct revenue capture
Manage driver debrief processes
Monitor pallet control and ensure timely processing of all transactions
Train and support team members on systems and processes
Set clear performance expectations and manage outcomes
Lead from the front in a hands-on environment
Partner with the Depot Manager to maximise site efficiency
What You Bring:
Experience in a similar leadership role
Ability to build strong relationships and lead a cohesive team
Strong communication skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
Self-motivated with strong leadership presence
A genuine commitment to safety in all aspects of work
Ability to manage challenging and high-pressure situations
A supportive, approachable style with the ability to engage a diverse workforce
