The Administration Officer provides a high level of confidential, patient focused administrative support for outpatient services within the Sunshine Coast University Hospital Ambulatory Care Centre (SCUH ACC) Medical Outpatients Department. As the main point of contact the Administration Officer connects with patients, medical and nursing staff on a daily basis, and provides front and back of house support to ensure the continuous effective operation of clinics.

Key Responsibilities include:

Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
Exercise judgement and discretion in undertaking various tasks whilst being responsible for the quality of work undertaken, by managing workloads appropriately; prioritising tasks and ensuring work is completed within designated timeframes.
Effectively communicate with clients and staff demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive service focus.
Provide advice and support in the admission and discharge planning process for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients presenting to the Sunshine Coast Health.

Remuneration value up to $100 585 p.a., comprising salary between $79 272 - $88 158 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $39.98 - $44.46 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) AO3) (full time, 76hrs p.f. or part time position available, 48 hrs p.f.).
