Your new role:
In this role, you will provide flexible administrative support across a variety of hospital departments, helping ensure patient services operate efficiently and effectively.
Provide relief administrative and clerical support across multiple service areas including reception, switchboard, wards, outpatient clinics and emergency department
Act as the first point of contact for patients, visitors and staff, managing enquiries with professionalism and empathy
Support patient administration processes including admissions, appointments, records management and data entry in hospital information systems
Coordinate appointments, clinics and patient flow activities in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical teams
Contribute to the smooth day-to-day operation of the service by managing workload priorities and supporting administrative service continuity
About you:
You are a proactive and customer-focused administration professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys supporting healthcare teams to deliver quality services.
Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support in a busy service environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service
Ability to manage competing priorities, work both independently and as part of a team
High level of accuracy in data entry, record management and use of administrative systems
Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and supporting positive team culture

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
