About The Business Unit The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria. The People Safety and Culture (PSC) business unit provides a range of services supporting our people and workplaces including: human resource policy and strategyorganisational culture and change, recruitment and retentionperformance and development, pay, benefits and workforce reportingsafety and wellbeingworkplace relationsand employee conduct. The PWS promotes a culture to engage and develop the workforce, providing every person with the opportunity to unlock and achieve their potential. The Payroll Administration team within PSC is responsible for end-to-end payroll including STP reporting, superannuation, Novated Lease, processing of Performance Development Progression payments and the provision of high-quality advice to a range of stakeholders both internal and external. About The Role Reporting to the Assistant Manager Payroll Administration, this role is responsible to support the team to ensure the efficient and accurate administration and running of the department's payroll Some Of Your Duties Will Include Running the fortnightly pays and maintain post processing, including contribution remittances to superannuation and novated lease companiesLiaisoning with 3rd parties regarding payments and deductionsPreparing and maintaining online support materials and ensure procedures involved for functional and reporting requirements for the relevant systems are documented. About You As our ideal candidate, you will possess: Experience in using Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is highly desirableThe ability to resolve issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines and being able to act with initiative when guidelines are not availableA willingness to seek opportunities for continuous improvement and ways to innovate while offering suggestions and ideas and encouraging others to do the same.
