The Role
We’re on the lookout for a Part Time Contract Review Specialist to join our Perth team.
The Contract Review Specialist will be responsible for reviewing, assessing and negotiating contracts in accordance with company policies and considering potential legal and commercial risks, to support FSG’s consulting engineering activities across Australia.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of contract law, commercial risk and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Reviewing and assessing contracts and agreements to determine acceptability and identify potential legal and commercial issues and risks, in consultation with Directors and other key senior personnel.
Collaboration with project managers, external legal providers, and other stakeholders to address contract-related issues and provide guidance on contractual matters.
Develop departure schedules for client contracts and agreements, assist with negotiating contract terms and conditions with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Ensure timely review and execution of contracts and assist in managing internal and external review and approval processes.
Maintain accurate and accessible records of contract negotiations, changes, client communications and approvals.
Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and procedures.
Provide guidance and support to engineering personnel on key legal/contract matters such as key contract terms and commercial risks.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in contract review, negotiation and management, preferably within the engineering and construction industry.
Strong understanding of practical contract law and commercial contracting considerations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work within project timelines and manage conflicting deadlines.
Attention to detail and excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Team oriented and ability to interact successfully with people in a range of industry positions and roles.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Law, Business Administration, Contract Administration or a related field, or equivalent skills and expertise gained through industry experience will be considered.
Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
Experience: Experience in a similar role preferred.
