We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.

We are looking for a seasoned Territory Specialist to join our highly successful Diabetes Care division. The successful candidate will provide superior education and support to Health Care Professionals (Endo, DNE, Pharmacists & GP) across Greenslopes, Mt Gravatt, Redland Bay, Logan City, Gold Coast, Northern NSW and Mackay/Whitsundays, to be based in QLD, through pre planned appointments scheduled at a defined quarterly frequency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive product recommendation & awareness through superior face to face interactions with HCP’s

  • Provide superior education sessions to both HCP’s and consumers as determined by annual marketing plan

  • Manage expenditure, meeting set spend KPI’s

  • Maintain all Coverage & frequency quarterly KPI’s

  • Manage Sales Force and other Abbott Diabetes Care internal systems to ensure optimal effectiveness

  • Work closely with Queensland & national team members to facilitate state / national product adoption

  • Attend national sales meeting and industry events as requested

  • Be able to understand and relay clinical and medical data while have a strong disease state knowledge

  • Maintain a comprehensive IT capability

  • Abide by Abbott corporate ethics and compliance procedures

The following skills/background required:
  • Extensive Experience as defined in a sales role preferably in the health care industry

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets

  • Degree or diploma in a Science or Nursing discipline

  • Be able to adapt quickly to new directives and situations

  • Work independently with strong self-motivation
