Senior Technical Accounting Specialist

This is a hands-on role supporting a multi-phase integration program, where you will play a critical part in shaping accounting outcomes across entity restructuring, asset transfers, and ongoing business integration.

You’ll operate at the intersection of Finance, Legal, and commercial stakeholders—translating complex transaction structures into clear accounting positions and ensuring alignment between deal intent and financial outcomes.

• Provide technical accounting leadership across transactions, integrations, and restructuring activity

• Assess and manage accounting implications of entity integration, asset transfers, and intercompany arrangements

• Interpret legal agreements and transaction structures, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment

• Support purchase accounting, completion accounts, and financial reporting impacts

• Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and external advisors to deliver aligned outcomes

• Prepare board-level materials, clearly communicating technical positions and commercial impacts

• Identify risks, gaps, and accounting implications across complex, multi-entity environments

• Strong technical accounting capability is essential (non-negotiable) — ideally with deep IFRS knowledge

• Proven experience in transactions, M&A, integrations, or restructuring environments (strong preference)

• Experience in multi-entity organisations with complex structures

• Ability to interpret legal documentation and translate into accounting outcomes

• Strong financial reporting and completion accounts exposure

• Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and non-finance audiences

• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Exposure to large-scale, high-profile integration and transformation work
