About the Role
Join CALHN IMHRU as a Peer Specialist and make a real difference using your lived experience to support recovery, independence, and community connection for our consumers. You’ll collaborate, inspire, and guide towards hope and wellbeing.
What you’ll do
• Support consumers with practical skills and lived experience insights
• Share strategies to boost confidence, independence, and social inclusion
• Collaborate with clinical and community teams to enhance outcomes
• Build meaningful connections with consumers, carers, and stakeholders
• Maintain records and contribute to service planning and review
About You
You bring your lived experience and passion for recovery to support others. You communicate with empathy, work collaboratively, and help consumers build skills and hope.
• Hold a qualification or training in peer work or lived experience
• Use personal experience to guide and support mental health recovery
• Work well with clinical teams and community service providers
• Share strategies for wellbeing and positive community living
• Engage in supervision and contribute to team discussions
