The Organisation
Our client is a well-established construction services business providing support on major infrastructure projects. The organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable outcomes and maintaining long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Accounts Officer to join their finance team.

The Position
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll and finance processes run smoothly across two operating entities. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys ownership, accuracy and working closely with operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and process customer invoicing
  • Supplier reconciliations
  • Perform bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations
  • Support BAS preparation and month-end finance activities
  • End-to-end payroll processing including reviewing and reconciling timesheets
  • Ensure statutory compliance across payroll, super and tax 
  • Provide general finance and administrative support to the Finance Manager
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in payroll and accounts administration
  • Exposure to the construction, labour hire or related industries preferred
  • Experience using Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related discipline will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of EBA payroll environments will provide you with a competitive advantage
