The Organisation
Our client is a well-established construction services business providing support on major infrastructure projects. The organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable outcomes and maintaining long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Accounts Officer to join their finance team.

The Position
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring payroll and finance processes run smoothly across two operating entities. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys ownership, accuracy and working closely with operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:

Prepare and process customer invoicing
Supplier reconciliations
Perform bank, creditor and debtor reconciliations
Support BAS preparation and month-end finance activities
End-to-end payroll processing including reviewing and reconciling timesheets
Ensure statutory compliance across payroll, super and tax
Provide general finance and administrative support to the Finance Manager

Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Previous experience in payroll and accounts administration
Exposure to the construction, labour hire or related industries preferred
Experience using Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping or a related discipline will be highly regarded
Knowledge of EBA payroll environments will provide you with a competitive advantage
