The Role
We’re looking for a highly capable HR Projects Specialist to play a critical role in delivering Workday Phase 2 across Talent, Performance, Remuneration, and Learning.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of HR, technology, and change, and is motivated by making a tangible impact on business transformation.
This position is a fixed-term contract for a period of up to 10 months.
What You’ll Do
Workday HCM Implementation:
- Act as the HR Lead to support the implementation of Workday Talent, Performance, Remuneration and Learning modules, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and HR strategies.
HR Process Mapping and Design:
- In collaboration with relevant stakeholders, document as-is, design optimised to-be, HR processes within Workday for the modules being implemented.
- Help define and document HR governance frameworks to ensure consistency across locations.
- Develop HR process documentation and Standard Operating Procedures to support system adoption.
- Work with relevant functional owners to ensure that the new modules meet regional labour laws and regulations.
- Identify ongoing improvements through standardisation, automation and consolidation of processes in alignment with HR strategic goals.
- Support the development of HR dashboards and analytics within the Workday system.
Data Migration:
- Support the migration of HR data from legacy systems to Workday, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and security.
- Own HR-side data cleansing in source systems prior to extract.
- Define to-be data structures and standards in partnership with the Solution Architect.
- Coordinate with IT on extract, transform and import cycles
- Validate imported data against source for accuracy and completeness; partner with functional SME leads for sign off on data readiness gates.
Project Management:
- Support the development and execution of project plans, timelines and deliverables. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Identify, manage and where required, escalate risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Testing Coordination
- Author functional test scripts for HR processes across all modules in scope.
- Coordinate BAU SMEs as test executors across walkthrough, end-to-end and parallel test cycles.
- Log, triage and retest defects; partner with the Solution Architect on root cause analysis.
- Maintain test status reporting for the project working group.
Change Management, Training and Support:
- Undertake change impact analysis and identify appropriate change management strategies to support implementation.
- Provide training and support to the broader HR team and end-users on Workday functionalities and best practices.
- Act as a key HR contact for troubleshooting system issues, process queries and user support during the rollout.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates and address any concerns related to the implementation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of HR operations.
About You
You’ll bring a mix of HR expertise, project delivery experience, and strong stakeholder engagement skills, including:
- 5+ years’ experience in HR, ideally with HR systems implementation exposure
- Strong experience in HR process improvement and data migration
- Proven ability to support or lead HR technology projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
