The Opportunity:

We have a need for an experienced SMSF Administrator/Accountant to join our team.

Using your existing skillset, we see this role as comprising of four core functions:

1. Being directly responsible for liaising with Clients regarding their SMSF needs.

2. Preparation and reviewing of annual accounts, tax returns & financial statements for SMSF entities.

3. Researching and correctly applying (noting that we do have in-house taxation and superannuation specialists to support you) tax requirements in line with legislation.

4. Overseeing and completing pension establishment, wind ups, court orders from instances of divorce, death benefits, lump sum payments and other non-ordinary super fund events. 

Working from our Gold Coast (Bundall) office, the successful candidate will have a hard-working attitude, possess a strong attention to detail, have exceptional communication skills, takes pride in their work, and loves adding value to clients using their professional skillset.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Public Practice Accounting 

• Proficiency using Class Super

• Comprehensive knowledge working with SMSF’s

• Be comfortable speaking with clients and internal colleagues

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills.

• You will have a self-motivated, can-do attitude and an ability to take initiative.

Desirable Skills/Attributes:

• A tertiary qualification and have achieved (or have a desire to work toward) SMSF Specialist Advisor, CA, CPA or IPA credentials
