Gosford & Central Coast, Erina, New South Wales
Full time
Founded in 2020 on the NSW Central Coast, Nomad the Label is a fast-growing global fashion brand built around a spirit of adventure and respect for the planet.
Our six Shopify stores are the engine room and shopfront to the world, and we're looking for an experienced, hands-on ecommerce specialist to own their performance and push it further.
This is a deeply hands-on role for someone who has spent years working within Shopify and the apps that surround it. The focus is on offer strategy, page structure, mobile experience, customer objections, social proof, trust, email timing and removing friction from the buying journey — backed by the technical ability to build, configure and ship the improvements yourself.
You will report directly to the Founders and work closely with the paid media team, creative team, developers and designers to identify issues, test ideas and improve the stores' commercial and technical performance.
You will own the ecommerce performance, including:
Conversion rate, revenue per visitor and average order value
The Shopify stores — merchandising, content, PDPs, cart and checkout
The app and tech stack — Klaviyo, Gorgias, Loop and the wider integrations
Lifecycle email and SMS, popups and email capture
Offer, bundle and upsell/cross-sell strategy
The CRO testing roadmap, site health and tracking integrity
Shopify & Tech Stack
Live in the Shopify admin day to day — products, variants, collections, metafields, tags, navigation and inventory visibility
Manage the tech stack — Klaviyo, Gorgias, Loop and others — adding, configuring, integrating and retiring apps as the channel evolves
Manage theme content within the Shopify admin (sections, blocks, modules) and brief developers for anything custom
Keep the stores technically healthy — QA every launch (links, images, prices, sizing, mobile) and catch sync issues and broken funnels before customers do
Maintain tracking and data integrity across the stack
Conversion & Site Optimisation
Identify and prioritise conversion improvements across PDP, collection, cart and checkout
Build and optimise landing pages and campaign pages
Test offers, bundles, upsells and cross-sells
Improve revenue per visitor, AOV, add-to-cart rate and checkout completion rate
Own on-page SEO hygiene — titles, meta descriptions, alt text, product copy, URL structure and internal linking
Lifecycle, Email & Customer Experience
Build and improve Klaviyo email and SMS flows — welcome, abandoned cart, abandoned checkout, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback and VIP
Manage popup strategy and email capture
Configure and optimise the returns and exchange experience in Loop
Set up and maintain customer service workflows and automations in Gorgias
Grow repeat customer revenue
Testing, Analytics & Reporting
Run structured A/B tests and conversion experiments, and propose changes based on data, not opinion
Review analytics, heatmaps and session recordings to find where customers drop off
Deliver a clear weekly trading report — revenue, traffic, CVR, AOV, email/SMS revenue, top movers — with actionable next steps
Conduct regular competitor and market reviews, and stay across platform and app updates
We are looking for a hands-on ecommerce specialist who has spent the last several years working with Shopify and its core apps and who brings real technical ability. You should have:
Several years (typically 3–5+) hands-on, with the majority of your week spent operating Shopify and its apps
Deep, hands-on Shopify expertise — comfortable in the admin without needing a developer
Strong technical ability and confidence managing a tech stack — configuring apps, handling integrations and troubleshooting issues independently
Hands-on experience with the core apps — Klaviyo (flow building, segmentation, deployment), Gorgias and Loop
Strong CRO and A/B testing instinct — you read trading data and know where to pull the lever
Solid on-page SEO and landing page optimisation
Working knowledge of GA4, Triple Whale and ecommerce analytics, with a sharp eye for site quality and QA
A commercial mindset and genuine care for the numbers
Fashion or apparel experience is highly regarded.
You'll Be a Good Fit IfYou think commercially and care about the numbers, not just how things look
You can look at a store and quickly see where customers are dropping off — and have the technical ability to fix it yourself
You can prioritise high-impact work and self-manage without constant direction
You are comfortable in a fast-moving, founder-led business
You can brief developers, designers and copywriters clearly when you need them
You'd rather ship and iterate than plan in perpetuity
A small, fast-moving team where your work directly shapes the brand
Real growth as we scale globally — and the room to grow with us
Regular hours from our office on the NSW Central Coast
A brand built on sustainability and ethical practices
Competitive salary plus a generous clothing allowance
If this sounds like you and you're up for the challenge, apply now and we'll be in touch soon.
