Accounts and Payroll Manager

• $90,000 - $100,000 + super

About Our Client:

Our client is  a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee that provides membership services in the Mackay and Plane Creek Region based on the towns of Mackay and Sarina. 

What you will be doing:

• Accurately process payroll within designated timeframes
• Maintain and update employee records throughout the employment lifecycle
• Administer employee leave balances, allowances, salary adjustments, and other payroll transactions
• Provide timely support and advice regarding payroll enquiries
• Interpret employment conditions, awards, and workplace agreements to ensure correct payments
• Conduct payroll reconciliations and assist with reporting requirements
• Ensure payroll activities comply with relevant legislation and internal procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll systems and streamline processes

What you will need:

• Demonstrated experience working within a payroll or payroll administration role
• Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, modern awards, and compliance obligations
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable learning new systems
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet strict deadlines in a busy environment
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to stakeholder interactions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
