Management / Financial Accountant - Part-time - Consulting firm. Temp to perm

An exciting opportunity exists for a personable and commercially minded accountant to join a growing consulting business supporting a diverse portfolio of clients.

Initially offered on a temporary basis with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment, this role will commence at approximately 20–30 hours per week with the potential to increase as the business continues to grow.

This is far more than a traditional accounting role. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, partnering with clients and becoming a trusted advisor to business owners and managers.

Working closely with the Director, you will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries, including:

• Month-end reporting and management accounts

• Maintaining and updating three-way forecast models

• Financial analysis and business performance reporting

• Providing meaningful commentary and insights to clients

• Supporting clients with systems, processes and general business matters

• Assisting with BAS, PAYG and Payroll Tax compliance

• Limited transactional accounting support as required

• Developing and enhancing management reporting and dashboards

You will have significant autonomy while still receiving support and guidance from the Director, who remains actively involved from a strategic perspective.

• CA / ACCA / CPA qualified or working towards qualification

• Experience as a Senior Accountant, Management Accountant or Business Services Accountant

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and stakeholders

• Commercially minded with the ability to explain financial information clearly

• Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently

• Strong Excel skills

• Exposure to Power BI would be advantageous but is not essential

• Flexible working arrangements including work from home

• Client-facing role with variety and autonomy
