We're Hiring | Claims Specialist — Dental & Medical Indemnity | Australia (Hybrid)Tego is a specialist medical malpractice underwriter supporting Australia's healthcare sector including private hospitals, aged and disability care, specialist clinics, doctors, dentists and allied health. We're expanding our claims team and looking for an experienced claims professional to join us. The RoleYou'll manage a portfolio of dental and medical indemnity claims from notification through to resolution, working closely with healthcare professionals, legal advisors, and internal stakeholders across a varied and complex book. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Australia, with the flexibility to work part of the time remotely. Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end management of claims in line with policy terms and legal requirementsInvestigation and analysis of claims, including liability and coverage assessmentAssisting insureds through patient complaints, regulatory investigations, AHPRA inquiries, HCCC matters, and coronial investigationsProviding professional support and clear communication throughout the claims processLiaising with legal counsel and medical experts to facilitate assessments and resolutionsMaintaining accurate records and reporting in accordance with regulatory standardsContributing to the ongoing development of claims processes and policies What We're Looking ForMinimum 3 years' experience in dental, medical or professional liability claimsSolid understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape — AHPRA, HCCC, and related bodiesStrong analytical skills with experience reviewing complex medical and legal documentationExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills Bachelor's degree in Law, Insurance, Healthcare or a related field
