Tax Accountant

The Opportunity:

An opportunity in a boutique accounting firm located on the edge of Perth CBD has arisen, requiring a full time Accountant to join the practice.

About the company:

This is a small practice who value and recognise quality staff. This environment would be best suited to an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, with prior experience in an accounting firm required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements for all business entities

• Preparing and lodging tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders (including income tax returns).

• Prepare quarterly and monthly Activity Statements.

• Process payroll and superannuation on an going basis for bookkeeping clients.

• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies, responding to queries.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor of Commerce essential

• CA/CPA advantageous but not required

• 2 years + Australian tax experience in an Accounting Practice.

• Experience with accounting software packages. Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), Xero Tax is preferred, MYOB Accountants Enterprise experience is advantageous

• Bookkeeping knowledge & experience using various accounting suites would be a distinct advantage

• Good technical tax knowledge

• Excellent English language skills to be able to work directly with clients

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proactive, motivated individual with problem solving skills
