ABOUT THE ROLE
Symbio Laboratories is currently seeking a Junior Accounts Receivable Officer (Graduate / Entry Level) to join our Finance Team. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension, based at our head office in Brisbane Technology Park, Eight Mile Plains.
This role is ideal for an energetic individual who is a fast learner, a strong communicator, and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients, while being supported by a collaborative and experienced finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Allocate and process incoming client payments, including those received via Stripe and other payment channels
Ensure accurate posting of payments to customer accounts
Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients to recover outstanding balances
Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer records
Assist with reviewing credit applications and setting credit limits and payment terms
Respond to internal and external client enquiries via phone and email
Manage client account queries and work with internal teams to resolve issues promptly
Collaborate with finance, sales, and logistics teams to support smooth operations
Ensure work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures
The Successful Applicant Will Ideally Have:
A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field, or be working towards one
Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, finance administration, or a similar role (desirable but not essential)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
The ability to manage tasks effectively in a busy environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting systems such as MYOB EXO or similar (advantageous)
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success and process improvements
