Junior Accounts Receivable Officer (Graduate/Entry Level)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Symbio Laboratories is currently seeking a Junior Accounts Receivable Officer (Graduate / Entry Level) to join our Finance Team. This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension, based at our head office in Brisbane Technology Park, Eight Mile Plains.

This role is ideal for an energetic individual who is a fast learner, a strong communicator, and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and clients, while being supported by a collaborative and experienced finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Allocate and process incoming client payments, including those received via Stripe and other payment channels

• Ensure accurate posting of payments to customer accounts

• Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with clients to recover outstanding balances

• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate customer records

• Assist with reviewing credit applications and setting credit limits and payment terms

• Respond to internal and external client enquiries via phone and email

• Manage client account queries and work with internal teams to resolve issues promptly

• Collaborate with finance, sales, and logistics teams to support smooth operations

• Ensure work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures
   

The Successful Applicant Will Ideally Have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field, or be working towards one

• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, finance administration, or a similar role (desirable but not essential)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

• The ability to manage tasks effectively in a busy environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Experience with accounting systems such as MYOB EXO or similar (advantageous)

• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to team success and process improvements
