Payroll Officer — 3 Month Contract Sydney, NSW | Full-Time | Onsite (5 Days)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join a collaborative Finance team in Sydney on a 3-month contract. This hands-on role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services across Australia and New Zealand while supporting a high-performance, people-focused culture.
The Role You will play a key role in the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining strong compliance and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process fortnightly payroll for Australian and New Zealand employees
  • Manage payroll variations, employee changes, and commission payments
  • Enter new starters and maintain accurate employee records
  • Maintain payroll master data within Preceda
  • Calculate termination payments
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and variances
  • Process and submit Superannuation and Payroll Tax
  • Manage payroll inbox and respond to employee enquiries
  • Prepare fortnightly, monthly, and ad hoc payroll reports
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including HR and Legal
  • Escalate potential issues proactively

Working Arrangement This is an office-based role, with employees required to work onsite five days per week.
