We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Undergraduate Accountant to join our Finance team. The role is part time, ideally working Monday to Wednesday, however we can be flexible. Work hour will fall within our usual office hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm. This is a role suitable for someone who is working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, the successful applicant will be responsible for performing tasks such as:
Provide support to the Finance team to drive month end close;
Assist with bank reconciliations;
Assist with end of month accruals and journals;
Support and assist with Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable function;
Maintain monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts;
Assist with fixed assets register and depreciation/amortisation schedules;
Prepare and complete the monthly BAS statements; and
Assist with the preparation, review and distribution of monthly financial reports.
Experience and Qualifications:
Studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Commerce majoring in Accounting;
Good communication, organisational and time management skills;
Ability to work autonomously and to prioritise work;
High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
Intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; and
Ability to work as a part of a team.
